Our Mission
The mission of the FLA Foundation is to prevent drowning of children and adults, to promote healthy lifestyles through swimming and related wellness activities for persons of diverse cultures, ages and abilities, and to support team endeavors.

The FLA Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports aquatics and personal development through its Core Goals:

Save Lives
To save lives through supporting learn-to-swim programs and youth and adult sports teams.

Health and Fitness
Promote health and fitness for all ages through all water sports, to include training through yoga, aerobics, cycling, weights and other dry-land exercise programs.

Scholarship
Award scholarships based upon economic need, as well as to reward excellence.

Accessibility
To encourage and make swimming available to a full spectrum of diverse populations, including economically disadvantaged persons and persons with disabilities.

Travel
To sponsor travel opportunities for deserving swimmers, to provide both educational experience and competitive challenge.

Available Facilities
To make swimming facilities available to everyone by:
1.  Securing individual swim centers; and,
2.  Upgrading the condition and equipment at existing swim centers.

Coaching Development
To train coaches and swim instructors using cutting edge techniques and state of the art tools.
